Heavy ships coming to India from Saudi and UAE According to the latest information, two huge ships laden with LPG from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and a tanker carrying crude oil from Saudi Arabia are headed towards the ports of India. The main objective of these ships is to fill any supply gap caused by a possible war in time. The Petroleum Ministry is keeping a direct eye on the movement of these ships, so that there is no shortage of LPG or petrol-diesel in any part of the country.

America-Iran tension may worsen equations In fact, the increasing tension between America and Iran has created a cloud of danger over the important trade route like ‘Strait of Hormuz’. A major part of the world’s oil trade takes place through this route. Experts say that if the situation worsens, there may be a huge jump in oil prices. Keeping this in mind, India has already started increasing its Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) and immediate imports.

Effort to provide relief to Indian consumers India imports about 85 percent of its crude oil needs. In such a situation, any upheaval in the international market directly impacts the pocket of the common man. Government sources say that the arrival of these ships will strengthen the stock position and there will be no reduction in the availability of gas cylinders during festivals or in the coming months. Oil companies have also been instructed to keep their refinery operations running smoothly and also consider alternative routes.
