Japan Ampil Typhoon : An alert has been declared in Japan in view of the threat of Typhoon Ampil. People living near the Tokyo coast have been instructed to immediately vacate their homes. The storm has now reached the coast of Tokyo, in view of which an alert has been issued by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC).

According to JTWC, Typhoon Ampil has strengthened and is approaching the coast of Tokyo. The storm may intensify further in the next 12 hours. When the storm passes over Japan, it is also expected to have a major impact.
