News India Live, Digital Desk: President of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav Has launched a scathing attack on the Women’s Reservation Bill being brought by the Central Government. Akhilesh blamed this step for BJP ‘Election panic’ Alleging that this is a big conspiracy to eliminate the rights of ‘PDA’ (Backward, Dalit and Minority). Attacking the government through social media and public meetings, he said that BJP wants to divert attention from real issues on the pretext of this bill.

‘The main objective is to postpone the census’

Questioning the intentions of the government, Akhilesh Yadav said that placing the condition of census and delimitation for implementing this bill is only a way to delay it. He said:

Insult of half the population: When the bill is being brought on the basis of 2011 census, why is the current population of 2026 being ignored?

Decades of waiting: Akhilesh taunted and said that BJP is bringing such a law which will take decades to be implemented, so that at present they do not have to give their rights to the backward classes.

Demand for separate reservation for PDA

SP chief has demanded that within women’s reservation OBC, SC and ST A separate quota should be set for women. She said that without a ‘quota within a quota’, this bill would be limited to only a certain category of women and women from the PDA community would remain outside the mainstream. This stance of Akhilesh is being seen as a strategy to unite the OBC vote bank in Meerut, Noida and those areas of western UP, where labor movements and caste equations have recently heated up.

BJP accused of ‘back door politics’

Attacking BJP, Akhilesh said that the government is snatching reservations from medical universities to jobs through the back door. He cautioned the youth and women of Meerut and Noida that this ‘love of women’ of BJP is only an illusion created keeping in mind the 2029 elections. He reiterated that SP is firm on its demand for caste census and without it, the backward classes cannot get the full benefit of any reservation.

Mayawati also got support!

Interestingly, BSP supremo on this issue Mayawati has also added to the tune of Akhilesh. He also increased the total reservation and separate reservation for SC-ST and OBC women. 50% Has demanded to do. This united stand of the opposition has once again brought the politics of reservation to the center stage in Uttar Pradesh.
