Artificial Intelligence in Pakistan Cricket Board: The Pakistan cricket team lost the first match of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh by 10 wickets. Now the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to drop players from the team with the help of AI. That means now AI will keep an eye on good and bad performers.
80% of the players were selected by the computer
Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi while explaining the plan said that recently 150 players were selected for a domestic tournament in which 80% of the players were selected with the help of AI and only 20% of the players were selected by the selection committee.
In the press conference, Mohsin Naqvi said, “Players playing in the domestic tournament Champions Cup will be evaluated with the help of AI. The Champions Cup will end in September and after that everyone's records will be made. Those who do not perform well will be dropped immediately. We will have the record and we will be able to clearly see who deserves a place in the team.”
The Champions Cup will be played at the Iqbal Stadium from September 12 to 29. Significantly, the last 50-over domestic tournament in Pakistan was held in March 2022.
