Bettiah: Ashutosh Rai, Kamleshwar Singh alias K.P. 46 criminals including Singh were sent to Badar district and police station.
Ashutosh Rai, Kamleshwar Singh alias K.P. by District Magistrate, West Champaran, Shri Dharmendra Kumar for conducting the Bihar Legislative Assembly general elections in a clean, fair and peaceful manner. District and police station has been registered against 46 criminals including Bihar under Section 3 (3) of Bihar Crime Control Act 2024.
Many cases are registered against these criminals under the Indian Penal Code, Indian Justice Code, Arms Act and Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, in which all of them are out on bail. A conditional order has also been passed against the criminals who are currently out of the district, so that there is no adverse effect on their entry into the district before the elections.
It may be noted that a proposal to transfer these criminals to the district/station was received from the Superintendent of Police, Bettiah and Bagaha. In the light of which a formal hearing was conducted by the District Magistrate, but these criminals failed to defend themselves. In the meantime, he has been transferred to the district/police station till 30.11.2025. During this period, they will have to go to the concerned police station and mark their attendance every day between 10 am to 11 am and between 5 pm to 6 pm.
To successfully conduct the elections, till now 188 criminals have been shifted to Police Station Badar/District Badar and this action is continuing.
Instructions have been given to the Superintendent of Police, West Champaran, Bettiah/Bagaha to monitor its compliance.
The District Magistrate said that the state government is determined to ensure that the society remains peaceful and peaceful. The list of criminals who have changed district/police station is as follows:-
