Mirzapur, 01 August (HS). In many schools of the district, more teachers are posted than the ratio of the prescribed number of students. The Basic Education Council has started preparations for the adjustment of such teachers. This will improve the educational quality along with the ratio of teachers in council schools. The identified teachers will be sent to the schools where they are needed. Identification of teachers posted in the district has begun.
District Basic Education Officer Anil Kumar Verma said that from August 1, schools with more number of teachers and schools requiring more teachers will be marked and in the marked schools with more number of teachers, teachers above the standard will be marked on the basis of their service period in the district. After this, the list of schools in need and the list of surplus teachers will be released between August 2 and 4. Teachers will submit objections from August 3 to 5. The objections will be resolved through the committee.
To provide better education to the children, the exercise of transfer and adjustment of teachers is going on. For this, Basic Education Council Secretary Surendra Kumar Tiwari has issued guidelines. 1806 council schools are being run in the district by the Basic Education Council. In the academic session 2023-24, 2,38,000 children have been enrolled so far. The responsibility of teaching them lies with 8500 teachers, Shiksha Mitras and instructors. As per the rules of the Basic Education Council, one teacher should be deployed for 30 children in the primary class and one teacher for 35 children in the upper primary school. The enrollment of children in council schools changes every year.
