Dress code implemented in Haryana hospitals from March 1, ban on jeans, T-shirts

Dress code will be implemented in hospitals of Haryana from tomorrow i.e. March 1. For this, uniforms have been designed by suitable designers. Under the code, Western clothing, hairstyles, heavy jewellery, make-up accessories and long nails will be unacceptable during working hours. The name and designation of the employee will be recorded on the name plate. It has also been made mandatory for hospital staff to wear name plates.

Trainees of related posts except Nursing cadre can wear white shirt and black pant with name plate. The dress code in this policy will apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends, evening and night shifts. Clothes should fit properly and not be so tight or loose that they look out of place. The dress code enforced by the Haryana Health Department also sets rules for hair style and nails. Under this, the hair of a male employee should not exceed the length of the collar. The department will not allow unusual hairstyles and non-traditional haircuts. Similarly, separate rules have been given for nails also, the nails of the employees should be absolutely clean, cut and well groomed. The dress code includes jeans, denim skirts and any Colour Denim dresses will not be considered professional attire and will not be allowed to be worn. Sweat shirts, sweat suits, shorts will also not be allowed. Dresses, skirts and palazzos will also not be allowed.

T-shirt, stretch t-shirt, stretch pant, fitting pant, leather pant, capri, hip hugger, sweatpants, tank top, strapless, backless top, dress, top, crop top, below the waist line, low neck line Tops, off shoulder blouses, sneakers, slippers etc. will not be allowed. As per the footwear policy, shoes should be black, comfortable, free from all decorations and clean. Employees working under Public Private Partnership (PPP) services will be on duty with their own system of dress code with name plates. If a position is omitted from the proposed dress code policy, the employee working in that position will be required to wear the dress code. All civil surgeons will ensure dress color code as per the approved designation for the staff working in various health facilities.
