On the death anniversary of former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, regional MLA and minister Dr. Premchand Agarwal honored professors associated with the world of science on Saturday. He said that Abdul Kalam was famous as a professor, writer and also as a missile man. The country will always remember him.
In the program organized at the camp office situated on Barrage Road, Dr. Agrawal honored Professor Gulshan Kumar Dhingra, Professor SP Sati, Professor Neeta Joshi, Dr. Gaurav Varshney, Dr. BP Bahuguna, Dr. Kumud, Dr. Ankur of Rishikesh Campus of Shridev Suman Vishwavidyalaya by presenting them with bouquets and shawls.
Dr. Agrawal said that former President Dr. Kalam was of such a simple nature that while being the President, he used to meet the common man with great simplicity. After being freed from the post of President, Dr. Kalam worked in various colleges and institutions of the country. He shared his experiences with the students. Today, inspired by his life, many students are making a name in the field of science. Dr. Kalam also wrote many books to inspire students. His dream was to make India powerful and economically prosperous.
