Congress-Samajwadi Party alliance: SP and Congress may contest the by-elections on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh together. According to the information received, talks have also taken place between the two parties regarding this. During this Parliament session, the prominent leaders of both the parties will put their final seal on this.
According to information received from sources, Congress can form an alliance with SP in Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections. Under this alliance, some seats will be left for SP in both the states. Not only this, talks have also started between SP and Congress regarding the UP assembly by-elections. However, how many seats Congress and SP will contest in the by-elections will be decided only after the talks.
Out of the 10 seats in UP where by-elections are to be held, 9 seats have become vacant due to the MLAs winning the Lok Sabha elections. Out of these, 5 seats were occupied by SP, 3 by BJP and one each by BJP's ally RLD and Nishad Party.
By-election on 10 seats of UP
By-elections are to be held in UP's Karahal, Milkipur, Katehari, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair Mirapur, Phulpur, Majhwa and Sisamau seats. In which 9 MLAs have become MPs and one MLA of Samajwadi Party, Irfan Solanki has lost his membership. Due to this, by-election is to be held in Sisamau assembly seat of Kanpur.
BJP's tension may increase!
In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the SP-Congress alliance contested the elections in UP. BJP has suffered a major setback in this election. The BJP party could not repeat the performance of 2014 and 2019 and the NDA won only 36 seats. At the same time, the India Alliance has won 43 out of 80 seats in the state. In such a situation, if Congress and SP fight together in the UP by-elections, then this can increase the tension of the BJP.
