Surat: It is said that 'Dreams come true for those who have life in their dreams, nothing happens with wings alone, friend, it is courage that makes one fly..' An artist from Surat has proved this saying in true sense. Even after losing both his hands in an accident 25 years ago, Manoj Bhingare did not give up and today he is an artist who paints faces and feet. Not only this, his paintings have become so famous that now he goes to many countries and does live painting concerts.
No matter how many problems a person faces in life, but the person who never gives up in life, definitely gets success in life and a living example of this is Manoj Bhingare of Surat. Manoj Gopalbhai Bhingare, who lives in Limbayat area of Surat, does not have both hands, but he is currently an artist and is living a good life with his family.
25 years ago he went on a trip with his family. Where at the age of 10, he lost both his hands in a bus accident. After losing both his hands, he remained depressed for some time and wondered how he would spend his life ahead? He was constantly worried, but he says that those who do not give up in life definitely get success.
The family was devastated after the only son of the family lost both his hands. Manojbhai also became depressed after this incident and stayed at home for a year. At that time, a relative suggested an institute in Ahmedabad, where Manojbhai and others like him were taught mouth and foot painting. However, there too, there too some difficulties were faced for admission. Finally Naseeb got admission and then he studied there till 12th class and then took admission in Fine Arts. Today Manojbhai is a member of the Switzerland-based Mouth and Food Painting Association, whose head office is in Mumbai.
Coming from a very simple family, Manoj has become a hawker despite not having both hands. He has also met PM Narendra Modi and along with his mother, he has also gifted him a painting. Not only this, he has also received national awards and he also goes abroad to do live painting concerts. When Manoj Bhai paints with his mouth and feet, people keep looking at him.
Manojbhai Bhingare said, I am a mouth and foot painting artist, I used to study in class five and was ten years old when I lost both my hands in a bus accident, I became very sad thinking what will happen to life now but I made up my mind to move forward with my feet and hands. I was motivated by my parents and my teachers and slowly my feet started doing all the daily activities and then when I was in school, I used to participate in drawing and painting competitions in which I felt very happy to win prizes.
After the National Award I received when I was in class IX, I decided that I had to move ahead in this field and make a name for myself as an artiste and thus I slowly moved ahead in my life.
Further said that at present there is a world wide association of mouth and foot painting of which I am a member, its main head office is located in Switzerland. There are about 8 to 9 thousand artists in the world who do mouth and foot painting and there are about 40 artists in India of which I am also one. At present I have a drawing and painting art studio in Dindoli, Surat and I earn my livelihood from this.
He further said that I see that today's youth get disappointed very quickly, if they do not get success in something then they take the wrong path, sometimes they even commit suicide. I would like to tell them just one thing that such ups and downs keep coming in life but if we make our mind strong and keep our goal fixed and work hard then we will definitely get success in life.
Currently I am living in Surat with my mom, dad, wife and two kids and living a good life, earlier I used to think that I can't do anything in life but now I am living a good life in India and outside India. I have visited many places abroad. Right now I have live demos and workshops and exhibitions in Singapore, Qatar and many other places before Dubai in February.
