Bengali actor Shashvat Chatterjee was seen in the role of Commander Manas in the recently released film 'Kalki 2898 AD'.
There is a scene in the climax of the film where he is seen falling down holding Deepika Padukone's hair. Shashwat talked about this scene in an interview. Shashwat said that when this scene was being shot, Deepika was actually pregnant. Since this scene was being shot in Mumbai, her husband Ranveer Singh was also present on the set that day. He got worried after seeing this scene. Because there was a lot of physical struggle. So I told Ranveer, don't worry, body doubles are available for physically challenging scenes. Shashwat further said, 'Ranveer brought a lot of positive energy on the set. He could not sit at one place. When I talked to him, I came to know that he is much more humble than I thought.'
Talking about the box office collection, 'Kalki' has earned Rs 900 crore worldwide on the 11th day of its release. While its Hindi version earned Rs 22 crore on the 11th day. Now it has become the third Hindi dubbed Telugu film to earn Rs 200 crore after 'Bahubali 2' and 'RRR'. This film has earned Rs 50 crore on the second weekend. Active in Bengali films since 1996, Shashwat made his debut in Hindi cinema in 2012 with the Vidya Balan starrer 'Kahaani'. Apart from this, he has also worked in films like 'Jagga Jasoos', 'Dil Bechara', 'Dobara' and 'Dhakad'. She was also seen in the recently released Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Crew'.
