Ranchi, 06 July (HS). Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha and SSP Chandan Sinha on Saturday reviewed the preparations for the Jagannathpur Rath Yatra and fair along with the security arrangements. During this, Superintendent of Police (city) Rajkumar Mehta and temple committee officials were also present.
While inspecting the arrangements in the fair premises, senior officials gave necessary instructions to the temple committee officials. While inspecting the Rath Yatra route from Jagannathpur Temple to Mausi Bari, the Deputy Commissioner directed to ensure the convenience of movement of devotees. SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha directed the shopkeepers to set up shops only at the designated place so that no devotee faces inconvenience during the Rath Yatra.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Rath Yatra will commence on Sunday at 3:30 pm with full rituals. All the arrangements have been made for this. Keeping in mind that the devotees do not face any kind of problem, arrangements have been made for 24-hour electricity, mobile toilets, water, fire fighting and ambulance.
SSP said that strong security arrangements have been made. Five watch towers and CCTVs have been installed in the fair premises. He said that magistrates and police officers have been deputed at all important places. A joint order has also been issued for this. Barricading is also being done at various places to ensure that big vehicles do not enter the area.
