Saharsa District Athletics Association election to be held on 24th July

Saharsa, 06 July (HS). On the instructions of Bihar State Athletics Association Secretary Liaquat Ali, elections of the District Athletics Association will be held.

District Athletics Association Secretary Roshan Singh Dhoni said that after every 4 years, the members of Athletics Association are elected from district level to state and national level. This is a normal process and a person can contest election a maximum of three times in one association. He can hold any post for only three terms.

One term in athletics is of 4 years. Accordingly, after the establishment of Saharsa District Athletic Association in 1976, this will be the 7th time that the members of the District Athletics Association will be elected. District Athletics Association Secretary Roshan Singh Dhoni said that the election of the District Athletics Association will be done as per the instructions of the Lodha Committee. Elections will be held on 24th July for the President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer at the district level. The notification for the election will be issued on 10th July. The list of observers and voters will be released on 10th July itself.

Applications for various posts can be made from 11 to 20 July. The scrutiny of applications will be done on 21 July. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is 22 July and elections will be held on 24 July. At present Arjun Chaudhary is the president, Umar Hayat Guddu is the vice president, Roshan Singh Dhoni is the secretary, Anshu Mishra is the joint secretary and Biplab Ranjan is the treasurer.
