Ranchi, July 5 (HS). The debate on the bail plea of Rahul Yadav, son of Dahu Yadav, in the illegal mining case of Rs 1250 crore in Sahibganj continued in Jharkhand High Court on Friday. The next hearing in this case will be on July 19.
In the petition, the petitioner has said that he has no role in the money laundering case. ED is implicating his father Dahu Yadav in a case related to illegal mining. In such a situation, his name is also being added because of his father. He is a student. He has nothing to do with such criminal cases.
On behalf of Rahul Yadav, his advocate Sabyasachi has filed a bail petition in the High Court. Rahul Yadav's bail petition was rejected by ED Special Judge PK Sharma's court on January 31. In light of the High Court's order, Rahul surrendered in the ED court on January 2. After this, the court sent him to jail in judicial custody. ED has also interrogated him by taking him on remand.
Rahul was summoned by ED for questioning in the illegal mining case but he did not appear before ED. After this, the special court of ED issued a non-bailable warrant against Rahul Yadav on March 31, 2023.
