Kishanganj, 26 June (HS). Under the guidance of Swaranjeet Sharma, Commandant, 19th Corps Sashastra Seema Bal, Thakurganj, a workshop was organized on Wednesday at the Corps Headquarters with the conclusion of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Pakhwada program.
In the program, Jagjit Bahadur Jagwar, Deputy Commandant, 19th Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal, Thakurganj, while informing all the soldiers about the ill effects of drug addiction, said that drug addiction is such a habit that ruins a person physically, mentally and financially. Consumption of poisonous and intoxicating substances leads a person to ruin. The young generation is getting affected the most by this. The young generation should stay away from drugs and save others from drug addiction, only then the country can progress. Everyone has to pledge to remove drug addiction from their lives.
A person who takes drugs becomes a burden for the family. His utility for the society and the nation becomes zero and he moves towards crime due to addiction and becomes a curse for the peaceful society. To avoid addiction, efforts should be made to connect everyone with social activities as well as sports and nation building activities. Under this program, e-pledge was taken by all the personnel of the Corps and in the meantime, all the Samvays organized many awareness programs like rally, seminar, workshop, campaign for taking e-pledge for the general public, awareness campaign in Gram Sabha and educational institutions etc. and appealed to everyone not to take drugs by making the common people aware of the ill effects of drugs. And the program was concluded with the promise that “we will stay away from drugs and contribute to building a healthy nation”.
