NEET-UG Medical Entrance Exam: Candidates kept waiting, not a single child came to take the NEET UG exam again in Chandigarh

NEET UG Re-Exam News: NEET UG re-examination was conducted in the Union Territory of Chandigarh on Sunday. For this, examination centers were set up in St. Joseph School in Sector 44, Chandigarh. Two children who got grace marks were to appear in this examination, but none of them appeared in the examination.

In fact, amid the controversy in six cities of the country including Chandigarh, the National Testing Agency had re-conducted the NEET-UG examination on June 23. Only 1,563 students had to appear for the NEET UG exam again.

During this time, officials of NTA and Union Ministry of Education were also present at the NEET UG re-examination centers. The exam was conducted on Sunday from 2 pm to 5.20 pm.

Students with grace marks allowed to appear in exams

Only those candidates who have obtained grace marks in this exam will appear in the Chandigarh NEET UG re-examination. Two such students had to appear in the exam again. Candidates were allowed to enter the centre from 11 am to 1.30 pm. Meanwhile, not a single student reached the examination centre to take the exam.

This examination was conducted for the first time on 5th May.

For the first time, the NEET-UG exam was conducted on May 5, 2024 at thousands of centers across the country. The matter of paper leak of this exam has been a matter of controversy across the country for the last few days. Protests are continuing regarding this. Leaders of political parties are demanding the cancellation of NEET UG exam 2024.

The hearing on the NEET Exam 2024 paper leak case is pending in the Supreme Court. The medical entrance exam was conducted again after the grace marks were withdrawn in the previous exam amid controversies. The NEET UG exam became a subject of controversy when 67 students scored 720 out of 720 marks. Of these, 6 students were from the same center. After this, there were allegations of irregularities in the NEET exam and now it has become a subject of political controversy.
