Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya was reviewing the 51 lakh tree plantation campaign in a meeting held at the city bus office on Sunday with doctors, lawyers and wrestlers of Indore city in the presence of Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav. Rajya Sabha member Banshilal Gurjar, public works in-charge Rajendra Rathod, Advocate Bar Association's Hitesh Inani, Archana Kher, wrestler Kripa Shankar Patel, Omprakash Khatri, Narendra Borasi Munna Borasi Raja Yadav and officials from various organisations were present in the meeting. On this occasion, various officials and organisations gave their suggestions regarding tree plantation.
Minister Vijayvargiya said that it is also important to know how and carefully the plantation should be done in a plantation drive organised on a large scale. He said that the place where plantation will be done on a large scale by any organisation, that plantation site will be named after that organisation. For example, the place where plantation will be done on a large scale by a team of doctors will be named Arogya Van, the place where plantation will be done by Bar Association will be named Nyay Van, the place where plantation will be done by wrestlers will be named Hanuman Van or Bajrangi Van.
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav said that the current green cover in Indore is not ideal, to increase it we all have to cooperate in the 51 lakh sapling plantation campaign.
