The last rites of Kalavati Jatia, wife of senior BJP leader Satyanarayan Jatia, who was a member of the BJP Parliamentary Board, Central Election Committee and former Union Minister, were performed in Ujjain on Monday. Before this, his last journey started from his personal residence, in which many ministers and MLAs including Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot participated.
In fact, Kalavati Jatia, wife of senior BJP leader Dr. Satyanarayan Jatia, died on Sunday at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. She lived in Delhi and was admitted to AIIMS after falling ill for the last few days, where she breathed her last at the age of 73. Her body was brought from Delhi to her residence Rishinagar Extension in Ujjain late on Sunday night. Since Monday morning, many VVIPs reached her residence to attend the funeral.
His body was kept for the last darshan at his residence in Rishi Nagar, where Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav offered floral wreath and expressed condolences. Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot also paid tribute. Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP State President VD Sharma, Panchayat Minister Prahlad Patel and Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh also offered flowers and expressed condolences. During this time, there was a continuous flow of people including Jatiya's family who knew him.
After the last rites, Kalavati Jatia's last rites were taken out from Rishi Nagar Extension Indore Road in the presence of city dignitaries, social workers and BJP leaders. Passing through various routes, she reached Ramghat where her mortal remains were cremated. Union Minister Virendra Kumar Khatik, MP Anil Ferozia and other senior citizens also expressed condolences to the Jatia family in this time of grief.
