
Kaithal, June 3 (HS). Deputy Commissioner of Kaithal Prashant Panwar has said that there was no fault in the hard drive in the strong room and counting center-17 Kaithal assembly. The CCTV footage is absolutely safe. Assistant Returning Officer, Kaithal has confirmed that the hard drive was not damaged at the said counting center, rather it was a case of screen mirroring. This has also been verified by the agents of the said political parties. Nevertheless, taking this matter seriously, an FIR has been registered against unknown persons and DSP City, Kaithal is investigating the matter. He gave clarification in this matter by issuing a press release late on Tuesday evening.
ARO, Kaithal had received a complaint from the Duty Magistrate posted at Strong Room and Counting Center-17 Kaithal Vidhan Sabha that suddenly music and songs started playing on the LED screen of CCTV installed for monitoring the strong room. At that time, Naib Tehsildar, Kaithal and workers of political parties were present on the spot. Last Monday at 9 am, the counting team and officers, employees related to the election process and workers of other political parties were present there for the rehearsal of the counting to be held on June 4. After this incident, the Duty Magistrate informed the concerned Assistant Returning Officer about the matter. In which it was found that due to screen mirroring / WiFi being enabled in the LED, the display got connected to someone's mobile phone, but it was fixed by taking immediate action. The CCTV footage is absolutely safe and the CCTV recording of that period was also shown to the workers of the political party present on the spot and they have expressed satisfaction in it.
