Bhopal, May 26 (HS). Due to the effect of hot winds coming from Rajasthan and Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh is experiencing severe heat these days. On the second day of Nautapa, on Sunday, the heat in the state became even more intense. During this time, most of the districts were scorching hot. 14 districts of the state were in the grip of heat wave. Rajgarh, Shajapur, Niwari, Sagar, Guna, Khajuraho and Sehore districts recorded temperatures above 46 degrees Celsius. Rajgarh was the hottest in the state on Sunday, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 46.8 degrees. At the same time, the temperature in Shajapur was 46.6, Prithvipur Niwari 46.5, Sagar-Guna 46.2, Khajuraho-Sehore 46 degrees.
The capital Bhopal experienced the second highest temperature in 10 years. The maximum temperature recorded here on Sunday was 45.4 degrees Celsius. Earlier, the maximum temperature of 46.7 degrees Celsius was recorded on 21 May 2016. Talking about big cities, Indore recorded 43.3 degrees on Sunday, 45.6 degrees in Gwalior, 43.4 degrees in Jabalpur and 43.7 degrees Celsius in Ujjain. In Sagar, the mercury has reached 46.2 degrees or more for the second time in 10 years since 2014. Earlier, in 2016, it had reached 46.4 degrees. The mercury remained above 45 degrees in Khargone, Shivpuri, Naugaon, Khandwa, Damoh and Tikamgarh. Narmadapuram district was the coldest in the state. The mercury in Narmadapuram city was 39.7 degrees and in Pachmarhi it was 38.8 degrees Celsius.
On the other hand, many districts including Indore, Dewas, Ratlam, Mandsaur witnessed rain accompanied by thunderstorm in the afternoon. In Indore, strong winds and light rain in the afternoon brought some relief. 0.5 mm of rain was recorded till 5:30 pm at the weather center located at the airport. Meanwhile, the tin sheet on the Chowpatty in Javra flew away. A young man died after getting hit by it. The name of the deceased is Nilesh Bairagi. He worked in a finance company. Here, hoardings installed at many places in the city also fell down due to the strong storm.
In Khirkiya of Harda district, on Sunday evening, due to a strong storm, the tin roofs of many houses were blown away. Trees fell on power lines at many places. This affected the power supply. Tin roofs of houses were blown away in Junapani, Temlawadi, Jaimalpura, Pratappura, Hirapur, Sonpura and other areas. Many trees have fallen on the Harda Khirkiya road. Due to which the power supply in the area has been disrupted. In Barwah of Khargone district, after the day long heat on Sunday, the rain which occurred at 4 pm brought relief to the people. It rained here for an hour.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Center of Bhopal, currently a western disturbance is formed in the form of a trough around Pakistan. A cyclone is formed in the upper part of the air over south-eastern Rajasthan. A cyclone is also formed in the upper part of the air over Uttar Pradesh. Senior meteorologist Ajay Shukla said that there is severe heat in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Due to the hot winds coming from there, there is severe heat in Madhya Pradesh, due to which heat wave is blowing in many cities. This kind of situation can persist for two-three days.
On the other hand, the storm Remal that rose in the Bay of Bengal has moved in a northwesterly direction through the sea. Remal is likely to intensify further and hit between Gangasagar and Bangladesh on Sunday-Monday night. The heat is also likely to subside after May 28.
