He said that general elections for the Lok Sabha are being held in different phases in the year 2024. Voting will be held in the state on May 25, which will start at 7 am and continue till 6 pm. Voting rights are most important in democracy. All citizens above 18 years of age must cast their vote on the day of voting. He said that it is important for every person to participate in this festival of democracy, but for this it is necessary to get the vote done and pay for the vote. He said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, 100% voting is necessary, hence every voter should be aware and exercise his franchise. Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal said that by voting you select the candidate of your choice. The Election Commission has also provided the facility of NOTA to the voters in which the voter can press the NOTA button if he does not like any candidate. Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Rahul Narwal said that if a voter does not have his voter ID card, he can still exercise his right to vote by showing about a dozen documents prescribed by the Election Commission. The Deputy Commissioner said that in the absence of a voter ID card, voters can cast their vote by showing their passport, driving license, if you are an employee of the Central and State Government or if you are working in a PSU and Public Limited Company, then the company's photo ID, PAN card, Aadhar card, passbook issued by post office and bank, MNREGA job card, health insurance card issued by the Labor Ministry, pension card on which your photo is printed and attested, smart card issued by the National Population Register, official identity card issued by MP-MLA-MLC.
