Kanpur, 22 May (HS). The bullies of Kanpur have raised a question mark on the zero tolerance policy of Uttar Pradesh Chief Yogi Adityanath. Despite his strict instructions, the bullies do not seem to be desisting from occupying the lands and plots. The morale of the powerful land mafia is high.
The latest case is of Satbari area of Sen West Para police station area of South Zone of Kanpur Police Commissionerate, where the bullies first forcibly took possession of the plot and then are demanding extortion money from the victim. The victim appealed from the regional police station to the state police chief, but leave alone any action against the bullies, not even the FIR of the victim was registered.
On Wednesday, the victims reached the Police Commissioner's office with their complaint along with the criminal history of the bullies, where Joint Commissioner of Police Harish Chandra handed over the investigation of the case to Additional DCP Crime and gave instructions for action.
While giving a press conference at the Kanpur Journalist Club located in Ashok Nagar, Chakeri resident Rajkumar Yadav said that his police station is situated in Plot No. 1, Satbari village of Sen West Para. Araji No. 146 is 188 m. He had received this plot through a registered will from his uncle Jawahar Lal Yadav.
The victim Rajkumar alleges that on February 21, 10 to 12 people including the area's bully, land mafia Virendra Yadav alias Veeru Yadav, Deendayal Gupta, Brijendra Yadav, Bauva Yadav and Ravindra Tripathi came together and broke the lock of his plot. They forcibly tried to take possession while doing construction work. When the victim protested, the bullies beat him up and threatened to kill him.
According to the victim, she complained to Chowki New Azadnagar, Police Station Sen West Para, ACP Ghatampur, DCP South but the hearing was not done, as a result the land mafia took possession of her plot with great force.
The victim told that the overbearing Virendra Yadav alias Veeru Yadav has taken over the plot on the basis of his dominance by creating forged deeds of a fake society named New Model Co-operative Society and putting boundaries of the plot on the registry of other 179 RGs. Rather, according to the RTI report, the New Model Cooperative Society is not valid and all the above mentioned land mafia people are demanding extortion of Rs 10 lakh from the victim for leaving the plot and are threatening to kill if the payment is not given.
There are 10 criminal cases registered against the domineering Virendra Yadav alias Veeru Yadav in Bidhanu, Panki, Chakeri, Sen Paschim Para police stations under serious sections including cheating, forgery, extortion, assault, death threats, due to which no one can muster the courage to speak against him. Joint Police Commissioner Harish Chander has handed over the investigation of the case to the DCP.
