Important news for those going on Char Dham pilgrimage, know the new rules before travelling.

If you want to go on Chardham Yatra then this is the most important news for you. Uttarkashi Police has issued a special action plan (SOP) regarding the yatra. According to this, no vehicle will be allowed to go to Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham after 8 pm. Therefore, traveling after 11 pm will be prohibited. Also, after 5 pm, no traveler will be able to go to Yamunotri Dham from Jankichatti.

As per the orders of Uttarkashi SP Arpan Yadavvanshi, SOP has been issued for Chardham Yatra. According to this, vehicles going to Yamunotri Dham will not be allowed to go beyond Damta, Naugaon, Barkot, Dobata, Khardi, Paligad after 8 pm. Along with this, vehicles going to Gangotri Dham will not be able to proceed beyond Nagun, Uttarkashi city, Hina, Bhatwadi and Gagnani after 8 pm.

Yamunotri can be reached on foot from 4 am. Therefore, no one will be able to go on the footpath after 5 pm. The number of horses and mules for Yamunotri Dham Yatra has also been fixed. Horses, mules and charioteers will go from Jankichatti to Yamunotri. The police has taken this decision keeping in mind crowd control and safety of passengers. Horses and mules will run from Jankichatti to Yamunotri and from Yamunotri to Jankichatti from 4 am to 5 pm. During this period 800 horses and mules will move.

Pilgrims from Kedarnath Dham to Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath Dham have broken records this year. Within 10 days, more than 7 lakh devotees have visited Chardham. Therefore, within a week, more than 1.5 lakh people have visited Badrinath Dham on pilgrimage. Every day 15 to 20 thousand devotees are having darshan of Lord Badri Vishal. In such a situation, police officers are also busy in making arrangements. Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar is making arrangements on the ground with police officers. DGP says that there is a need to make a new traffic plan on the travel route in the coming days.
