Jaipur, May 18 (HS). Gandhi Nagar police station has caught a dummy candidate giving the BA Part II Sociology exam in place of a young man. Rajasthan University administration caught the young man and handed him over to the police. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
Police officer Udaybhan Yadav said that the director of PG School of Commerce University of Rajasthan, Prof. Dilip Singh, registered a case that in the sociology paper of BA Part II, another youth was appearing in the exam in place of the original candidate. When there was any doubt, the young man was caught and interrogated strictly and he told the whole story. On this the young man was handed over to the police. Accused Shersingh Meena, resident of Sarmathura Dholpur, was appearing for the examination in place of Rohit Meena. Rohit's roll number is 388951. This matter is of 17th May. The paper on the subject of Sociology was going on in the Indian Society Issue Problems.
The police station officer said that the accused Sher Singh has passed BA and he had previously lived in Rohit Meena's house on rent. Presently accused Rohit is preparing for competitive examination by staying in another house on rent near Meena's house. It was out of friendship that Shersingh went to appear for the exam in place of Rohit. Accused Sher Singh was presented in the court on Saturday, from where he was sent to jail. In this case, absconding Rohit Meena is being searched. The accused told during interrogation that it is only in competitive examinations that the police arrests people for taking the exam in place of someone else, this kind of thing does not happen in college exams. On this basis he had come to take the exam.
