Bikaner, 18 May (HS). The 15th foundation day of Rajasthan Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Bikaner was grandly celebrated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Satish K. The event was organized on Saturday under the chairmanship of Garg.

Despite limited resources, Rajasthan ranks first in milk production in the country. Even after facing natural disaster like Lampi, the level of milk production in the desert is very good. Along with farming, animal husbandry is an important means of livelihood for the farmers here. Therefore, even after the famine in agriculture, there are no incidents of suicide among the farmers here. Animal husbandry contributes to the country's GDP. We have to focus on quality animal products through new technologies and research for animal production.

The guest of the program, former IAS Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Member, Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission, Energy Department, shared his experiences for the development of the Veterinary University and appreciated the progress and work done by the University in the field of veterinary medicine, research and extension. of. Garg said that the Veterinary University has created a special identity in the country through veterinary education, research and extension programs in a short span of 14 years. The strengthening of the university has been helpful in its development. Veterinary College Bikaner is celebrating its platinum jubilee year this year. Under which the students are being made aware of various employment opportunities by the alumni of the university. Pro. Garg along with Veterinary College, Bikaner, P.G.I.V.E.R. Informed about the structural development works in Jaipur, Veterinary College, Nawaniya and Veterinary College, Jodhpur. Pro. Garg stressed the importance of experiential learning, entrepreneurship and qualitative research for the students. Pro. Garg inspired teachers and students to create a special identity for their excellent performance. On the occasion of the foundation day of the Veterinary University, various competitions were organized in the university in which Mohit Jangid stood first, Kritika Nirban, Yuvraj Rathi stood second and Pushpendra Singh stood third in the essay competition.
