MP: Congress accuses SLU of disappearing from Rajgarh's strong room, Digvijay reaches Supreme Court

Bhopal, 16 May (HS). Under the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the four-phase voting process has been completed on all 29 seats of Madhya Pradesh. Now Congress leader and Rajgarh candidate, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has approached the Supreme Court regarding the possibility of irregularities in the strong room. In fact, Congress alleges that the Symbol Loading Unit (SLU) of Rajgarh has been made missing from the strong room. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Digvijay Singh regarding this matter.

Congress spokesperson Vivek Tripathi has made serious allegations against Rajgarh district administration and Election Commission. Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said that there are clear orders of the court that SLU should be kept safe in the strong room for 45 days. Madhya Pradesh Election Commission is trying to influence the elections of Rajgarh at the behest of BJP. When our candidate Digvijay Singh goes to visit the strong room, he comes to know that SLU is found missing from the strong room. It turns out that the Election Commission has taken SLU somewhere else.

Tripathi asked why only Rajgarh's SLU has been missing out of 29 Lok Sabhas. We have gone to court regarding this matter and have brought this matter to the notice of the court. The way Madhya Pradesh Election Commission is disobeying the court order. Action should be taken against the guilty officers. The Election Commission should clarify at whose behest the elections are being corrupted. It should be ensured that democracy happens with transparency. The court's decision on Digvijay Singh's petition will come in his favor.

At the same time, on Congress's allegations, State Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that when the Supreme Court rejected the EVM petitions, at the same time the Supreme Court said some other things. The Supreme Court has said that commissioning is done from symbol loading unit. Where the commissioning took place before May 1st. There they will be returned to the SLU Engineers and will be kept for 45 days where the commissioning has taken place after May 1.

It is noteworthy that the commissioning of Rajgarh was over on 28-29th. In Rajgarh, five LSUs were used and five were unused, which were returned to the engineers on the 8th after voting on the 7th. Symbol loading was done with four machines in Guna. Those four machines are still kept in the treasury in Guna. Guna Collector says that Congress people had objected and said that these machines should not be returned, so they did not return them. It's just that.
