Ayurvedic college, hospital and pharmacy employees go on strike in protest against salaries

Patiala: The staff of Ayurvedic College Patiala, Government Ayurvedic District Hospital and pharmacy providing medicines to Ayurvedic institutions are under the control of Ayurvedic University Hoshiarpur by the Punjab Government for the last three months. There is protest among the employees that the Punjab Government should not have brought these institutions under the Medical Council as Ayurvedic Universities, because the universities of the state are already in a bad condition.

In this regard, for the last several days, employees under the leadership of 'The Class Fourth' Union Punjab have been going from place to place demanding salary and confirmation of raw employees. Under this sequence, fed up today, the employees, under the leadership of Class IV Union, staged a protest at the main gate of the Government Ayurvedic Hospital located at the local Sher-e-Punjab Market and expressed their anger against the Punjab Government. The employees kept shouting slogans in the scorching sun. State President of Class Four Union, Darshan Singh Lubana said that Aam Aadmi Party will have to bear the brunt of this in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
