The above sensational incident was disclosed by Superintendent of Police Agam Jain in the form of police control at the district headquarters on Saturday. He told that on May 7, the dead body of a girl was found on the hill of village Goyra. After taking possession of the body, the police supervised the incident site and FSL and the technical team carefully collected physical and technical evidence. The police had found the deceased's mobile phone and some other material at the spot. Inspector General of Police Chhatarpur Range Lalit Shakyawar announced a reward of Rs 20 thousand on the arrest of the accused and in view of the seriousness of the incident, a collective team of police forces of Goyra, Sarvai, Lavkushnagar and Hinauta police stations was formed, which conducted a search for 4 days. After investigation, we succeeded in arresting the three accused who carried out the incident.
The girl was murdered out of anger over her protesting.
SP Jain said that during the investigation, the police team became suspicious of Rahul Shukla, son of Rajendra Shukla, aged 26, resident of village Gudhaura police station Lavkushnagar, who was currently living in his in-laws house in Goyra. On the basis of suspicion, the police called Rahul Shukla to the police station and interrogated him, then he confessed to the crime and told the entire incident to the police. The main accused Rahul Shukla (brother-in-law) told that on the date of the incident, he was with his brother-in-law Rahul alias Chhotu, son of late. Anandi Shukla, a 19-year-old resident of Goyra, and Rahul's 17-year-old cousin had gone to the hills of Pahari village, where he saw the deceased alone. Seeing the girl, his intentions got spoiled and after this, along with his friends, he forcibly took the girl to the goat house, where she was forcibly raped. Since the girl was continuously opposing him, Rahul got angry and hit her head against the wall and then strangulated her to death. After the murder, leaving the body near a bush in the hills, the three accused wiped off the blood stains on the wall with a crowbar (iron rod) and then ran away from there. Along with arresting the three accused, the police also recovered the crowbar used to remove blood stains from the wall. The minor accused has been produced before the Children's Court and the main accused Rahul Shukla and co-accused Chhotu Shukla have been sent to jail.
