Kanpur, 30 April (His). There was chaos on Tuesday morning due to a massive fire in a salt factory in the industrial area located in Govind Nagar police station area. The fire brigade personnel, who were activated on information, brought the fire under control after two hours of tireless efforts. The cause of fire is short circuit. There was no loss of life due to the fire.
Deputy Commissioner of Police South Ravindra Kumar said that Sunil Manwani has a factory for making snacks in the name of Frame Food and Products in the industrial area of Govind Nagar. On Tuesday morning, a sudden fire broke out in the factory due to short circuit. The fire became huge in no time. Police and fire brigade personnel became active on information and reached the spot with fire brigade and somehow after two hours of tireless efforts the fire could be controlled. There was no loss of life due to the fire. The amount of property destroyed in the fire has not been assessed yet, investigation is ongoing. Prima facie the main cause of the fire appears to be short circuit.
