Israel Latest News: Israel launches airstrike on Gaza, houses destroyed, 13 killed

Israel has once again launched an airstrike on Gaza. Israeli airstrikes on three houses in the city of Rafah kill 13 people and injure several others. However, according to information received from Hamas, the death toll has been put at 15. Health officials said Israeli aircraft targeted three houses in Gaza City, killing and injuring several people. Months of Israeli bombardment have forced more than 1 million people to seek refuge in Rafah, where Israel is accused of carrying out the attacks.

Last Saturday, 22 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air strikes. Israeli warplanes hit a populated house in the Nusret refugee camp in central Gaza with multiple missiles, killing 9 Palestinians, including 4 children, and injuring 30 others. According to medical sources, Israeli airstrikes also targeted a house in the far south of the Gaza Strip. In which 6 Palestinians including 4 children died and 8 others were injured.

Fighter planes targeted more than 25 places in the strip

According to reports, warplanes later targeted a house in the Nasser neighborhood, north of Rafah, killing 7 Palestinians and injuring several others. The injured have been referred to the city's Abu Yusuf Al-Najjar Hospital. Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesman Avichai Adrai said on the social media platform X that warplanes targeted more than 25 locations in the Strip, including military buildings, weapons warehouses and several buildings. Meanwhile, the Palestinian movement Hamas has released a video showing the first evidence that two more hostages held in Gaza are alive. In the forcibly filmed footage, Omri Miran says he has been detained for 202 days, the report said.

More than 34,000 people have died so far in Gaza Strip

On October 7 last year, Hamas launched a massive rocket attack against Israel from Gaza and violated the border. During this period 1,200 people were killed and approximately 240 others were kidnapped. Israel began retaliating and ordered a complete blockade of Gaza. It also launched ground attacks into the Palestinian territories with the stated goal of eliminating Hamas fighters and rescuing hostages. Local officials said that more than 34,000 people have been killed so far in the Gaza Strip. On 24 November, Qatar brokered a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and an exchange of some prisoners and hostages. An agreement was also made on the distribution of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. The ceasefire was extended several times and expired on 1 December. More than 100 hostages are still believed to be held by Hamas in Gaza.
