A very shocking case has come from the Camp area of Yamunanagar, where a 13 year old girl committed suicide by hanging herself at home because her pet dog had died 2 days ago. The deceased minor girl has been identified as Chandni. The police have taken the body into custody. Police will conduct post mortem today.
Chandni's mother said that Chandni had a dog for 3 months and she used to play with it all the time, but 2 days ago her dog died, after which she became very upset. She was sad, did not talk to anyone and became silent. She told her mother to get another dog for her otherwise she would die.
Last evening, when Chandni's mother went to the market for some work, she committed suicide by hanging herself from behind. The mother said that she had raised her daughter in poverty with great difficulty but she did not know that she would take such a step. Police have taken the body into custody and further action will be taken after post mortem today.
