It is important to have a deep understanding of laser mechanics in dentistry: Sonia Nityanand

Lucknow, 26 April (HS). The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, King George's Medical University in collaboration with Dentsply Sirona organized a workshop on 'Versatility of Laser in Dentistry' on Friday. The workshop was inaugurated by KGMU Vice Chancellor Professor Sonia Nityanand.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Sonia Nityanand encouraged the participants and advised careful use of laser. He emphasized that it is important to have a deep understanding of laser mechanics in dentistry. Because improper use can potentially damage tissues.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Professor of Conservative Dentistry, said that the objective of the workshop was to provide the students with updated information about the advancements in laser dentistry. Lasers have emerged as adjuncts to overcome the disadvantages and limitations of traditional dentistry.

Prof. Rakesh Kumar Yadav said that more than 100 delegates participated in the program, which included postgraduates from various private colleges and private doctors from Lucknow. Prof. Ramesh Bharti, Promila Verna, Prof. Rhythm, Dr. Vijay Kumar Shakya, Dr. Pragya Pandey and Dr. Nishi Singh were present in the workshop.
