In the complaint given to the police station, a youth resident of Majhola area of the metropolis told that a cyber thug cheated Rs 2 lakh 53 thousand on the pretext of a part-time job. On the complaint of the victim, the police station has registered a case on Friday and investigation is being done with the help of cyber cell.
In the complaint given to the police, the youth resident of Majhola area of the police station told that on August 31, 2023, a call had come on his mobile. The caller offered a part time job and told that you will get money for rating on Google Map. After this the caller made the young man join a group created on Telegram app. In which tasks were given and money had to be invested. According to the victim, he was asked to play tasks involving different amounts of money. There was some profit in the beginning. After this, the caller transferred Rs 2 lakh 53 thousand online on different dates.
Majhola police station SHO KK Verma said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered today under the IT Act and investigation is being done with the help of cyber cell.
