‘The cat went for Haj after eating hundreds of rats’: Keshav Maurya’s taunt on Akhilesh’s PDA manifesto

With the upcoming assembly elections in the politics of Uttar Pradesh, the war of words between the ruling party and the opposition has become very intense. State Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has made a direct attack on Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav and his much talked about ‘PDA’ (Backward, Dalit, Minority) formula. The Deputy CM, who reached Fatehpur, took a dig at the proposed manifesto to be released by SP on the upcoming Constitution Day and said that ‘the cat went to Haj after eating hundreds of rats.’ Maurya said in a sharp tone that Samajwadi Party can never be a true follower of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, nor can it ever become a true well-wisher of Dalits and backward people. While speaking to journalists in Fatehpur, he accused SP and Congress of hatching a deep conspiracy to weaken democracy and defame constitutional institutions.

During his stay in Fatehpur district, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, while talking to the media, termed Akhilesh Yadav’s love for Dalits as a complete show and election hypocrisy. Turning the pages of history, he alleged that the leaders of the party which had removed the board of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s name in Kannauj and had neglected the memorials of Dalit great men during its rule, are today pretending to become the biggest alambardars of Dalits and backward classes. Maurya said that SP’s history has been only of nepotism and protection to criminals. He clarified that the backward and Dalit community of Uttar Pradesh has now become aware and knows that their real respect, reservation and constitutional rights are completely safe only in the double engine government of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Keshav Prasad Maurya strongly rejected SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav’s recent allegations of alleged manipulation (SIR) and adding fake names in the voter lists. He said that Bharatiya Janata Party does not believe in any kind of unethical tactics of adding or subtracting fake votes. BJP comes to power on the basis of democratic values and fair mandate of the people. Maurya said that the people of Uttar Pradesh have now completely stopped voting for the mafia, rioters and musclemen. Ever since the mafia system patronized by SP has collapsed and the rule of law has been established from police stations to courts, there is immense panic and frustration in the opposition camp. Sensing his certain defeat, Akhilesh Yadav is now leveling baseless fabricated allegations on the Election Commission and the administrative machinery so that the blame for the defeat can be placed on someone else.

The Deputy CM also raised serious questions on the protests being held by Congress and opposition parties in New Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Making sensational allegations, he said that foreign powers are active in destabilizing the constitutional system of the country and are fueling these protests from behind the scenes. Maurya said that leaders like CJP and Rahul Gandhi are getting covert support from foreign powers, whose only agenda is to undermine the credibility of India’s democratic structure and electoral process. Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, he said that he should forever stop dreaming of Mungerilal becoming the Prime Minister of the country, because the nationalist people of India have repeatedly rejected him.

Expressing confidence on the upcoming election predictions, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya made a big claim that the lotus will once again bloom in Uttar Pradesh and the party will form its government for the third consecutive time with an absolute majority by winning more than 300 assembly seats. He said that BJP is fully prepared to give a democratic and befitting reply to the mess Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi are playing with the country’s democracy, from Parliament to the streets. Along with this, he claimed the historic and unilateral victory of BJP candidates on all the upcoming 11 Legislative Council (MLC) seats. Let it be known that Samajwadi Party has announced to release its much talked about election manifesto on the auspicious occasion of Constitution Day in the coming month of November, in response to which BJP has already started an aggressive siege.
