Lucknow, 28 September. Yogi government is going to take another initiative towards making the primary education of the young children of the state more interesting, easy and activity based. A sum of ₹61.75 lakh has been sanctioned for providing Bluetooth speakers for co-located Anganwadi centers/kindergartens located in 1,235 PM Shri Vidyalayas.
Each school will be provided with a Bluetooth speaker worth a maximum of ₹5,000. It will be used especially in activities like stories, poems, songs, puzzles etc. with children in the age group of 3 to 6 years, so that children’s verbal expression, listening and learning tendencies can be developed through activities. Instructions have been given to regularly monitor its quality and usefulness.
The foundation of learning will be strengthened through games, stories and songs.
In the National Education Policy-2020, special importance has been given to early childhood care and education. With this in mind, activities like stories, poems, songs and puzzles are being adopted as useful mediums for oral language development, connection with the environment, emotional and social development in children of 3-6 years of age. With the availability of Bluetooth speakers in co-located Anganwadi centers and kindergartens operating in PM Shri Vidyalaya campuses, these activities can be conducted more effectively. According to the order, the speaker will be used in such activities with children, which develop their tendency to listen, speak and express their feelings.
Facility of up to ₹ 5 thousand to 1,235 PM Shri Vidyalayas
A maximum amount of ₹ 5,000 has been allowed per school for the purchase of one Bluetooth speaker each in co-located Anganwadi centres/kindergartens located in 1,235 PM Shri Vidyalayas of the state. For this, a total amount of ₹ 61.75 lakh has been released under SNA Sparsh.
Bluetooth speaker will have useful technical features
The sample specifications set for purchase of the speaker include provision for 30 watts or more of power, Bluetooth 5.3 or higher, at least 10 meter connectivity range, dual 5.2 or higher drivers, and rechargeable battery. Battery backup is minimum three hours and battery capacity is set at 2,000 mAh or more. Apart from this, features like Type-C charging port, charging support in four hours or less, wireless or wired microphone input, volume control and playback control are also included in the specifications.
Will be used in activities with children every Saturday
As per the instructions of the government, Bluetooth speakers will be used every Saturday with children in the age group of 3-6 years in the co-located Anganwadi Centre/Kindergarten. Through this, model teachers/Anganwadi workers/ECCE educators will engage children with activities like stories, poems, songs and puzzles.
