The skills of village didis will now show their strength on foreign soil, UP products reaching the global market: Keshav Prasad Maurya


Keshav Prasad Maurya ji visited the exhibition and took information about the products and innovations displayed at various stalls. Shri Maurya said that the double engine government is committed to making the Didis of the state economically strong, self-reliant and entrepreneurs. He said that in consultation with the Petroleum Ministry of the Government of India, efforts are being made to connect women self-help groups in every village of Uttar Pradesh with the gas agency and cylinder distribution system. This will create new and sustainable income opportunities for village women. He said that through Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission, rural women are being organized and linked to economic activities through more than 11.21 lakh self-help groups, 66,002 village organizations and 3,297 cluster level associations in the state. Efforts are being made to increase the income of women of about 1.31 crore rural families by providing social and financial inclusion and connecting them with agricultural and non-agricultural livelihood activities.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve of ‘Lakhpati Didi’, rural women of Uttar Pradesh are strengthening their role from production to marketing and export. Our vision is to increase the income of women entrepreneurs with better products, better quality, better packaging, stronger brands and wider market reach.
