Ottawa: Yesterday, Baisakhi Day was celebrated at Parliament Hill, Ottawa in connection with Sikh Heritage Month in Canada. On this occasion, Sri Akhand Path Sahib was recited in the Parliament House and prayers were offered for the well-being of all. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and senior ministers of the Government of Canada, Sikh MPs and other prominent personalities were present on this occasion.
The Sikh Heritage Month button, designed by Baljinder Sekha of Toronto, was commissioned by devotees. On this occasion, the Prime Minister, through a message, congratulated the Sikh world on the Sajana Diwas of Khalsa Panth.
