Parliament Monsoon Session 2026: ‘Anger in the country due to theft of Ayodhya temple donations’, Mayawati’s big attack before the monsoon session; Gave advice to both the party and the opposition!

Lucknow. monday, 20 July 2026 Just before the tumultuous Monsoon Session of Parliament starting from 2017, the excitement in the politics of Uttar Pradesh and the legislative corridors of the country has reached its peak. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president and former UP Chief Minister Mayawati has taken on both the central government and the opposition alliance by tweeting one after the other on the social media platform ‘X’ before the beginning of the session. Mayawati clearly said that this session of Parliament should not be reduced to political sloganeering or uproar, but should become the center of serious and sensitive debate on the burning issues of the country.

Big statement on theft of Ayodhya Ram temple offerings: ‘Anger among people from street to court’

In his statement, the BSP chief has taken up the issue of alleged theft of donations and offerings in the Ram Temple of Ayodhya (Ram Temple Donation Embezzlement) very seriously. Describing it as an issue that would shake the country, he wrote:

• Hurt feelings: There is huge anger among the people of Uttar Pradesh and the entire country due to the news of theft, misappropriation and embezzlement of offerings in Ayodhya Ram temple.

• Use of religion for electoral gains: Taking a direct aim, Mayawati said that today the general public is hurt by the actions of those who have politicized religion for their electoral gains and is demanding answers from them. This issue is resonating from the streets to the court and there is sure to be a heated debate on it in the Parliament too.

There should be ‘solution, not uproar’ in Parliament on inflation, unemployment and paper leak

Expressing concern, Mayawati said that like every time, the people of the country are apprehensive about whether this session of Parliament will also be reduced to only ruckus and adjournments, or whether the public representatives will show any seriousness towards the problems of the common man. He listed the following 5 burning national issues for immediate discussion in Parliament:

1. Skyrocketing inflation and poverty: The Bahujan (poor, exploited and deprived class) of the country is facing the brunt of ever increasing inflation, which needs to be controlled immediately.

2. Unemployment crisis: The youth do not have employment, due to which the future of the country hangs in the balance.

3. Continuous paper leaks: The government will have to have a clear policy on NEET (NEET Paper Leak) and other paper leak cases which are playing with the future of the students.

4. Women Insecurity: The news of crimes against women coming from different states is weakening the social fabric of the country.

Appeal for unity over rupee fall and global war crisis

Referring to the international situation, the BSP supremo said that the ongoing tension in West Asia, the ongoing war between America, Israel and Iran and the adverse effects it is having on the Indian economy, such as:Continuous weakening of Rupee (Devaluation of Rupee)are extremely worrying national issues.

Mayawati has appealed to both the ruling party and the opposition to put aside their political bitterness, narrow-mindedness and personal interests and come together to deal with these crises. If this is not done, then the life of the country’s 140 crore population, especially the poor and the middle class, will become more painful in the future. He stressed that to maintain democratic traditions and for good governance, an effective and constructive Parliament should be started from this monsoon session itself.
