Digital revolution will come in villages of UP, earn ₹ 1 lakh per month sitting at home: Yogi government’s ‘Project Ganga’

The picture of rural areas of Uttar Pradesh is going to change completely. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government is planning a very ambitious plan to digitally empower villages. ‘Project Ganga’ Has brought. This project will form the new foundation of UP’s rural digital future, the main objective of which is to bridge the digital divide forever by providing high-speed fiber broadband to 57,000 gram panchayats and remote areas of the state.

City-like facilities and bumper employment for the youth.

Through this scheme, villages will be equipped with modern digital facilities like cities. This will open new avenues for education, health, e-governance, smart agriculture and digital payments. Now villagers will not have to run to cities for small government works, banking or certificates. The biggest thing is that under this project, 8 to 10 thousand youth will be recruited in rural areas, whose monthly income can be up to ₹ 1 lakh.

50% share and interest free loan to women

The most unique feature of Project Ganga is women empowerment. Under this, 50 percent stake has been reserved for women as digital service providers. Initially the monthly income of these youth and women will be ₹20,000, which can reach ₹1 lakh per month as the number of customers increases. The government is also providing interest-free loan up to ₹5 lakh under ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana’ to start your own enterprise.

In the first phase, priority will be given to the districts bordering Nepal.

This project will be implemented in the entire state in a phased manner. In the first phase, 21 districts of UP have been selected, in which priority will be given to border areas like Shravasti, Bahraich and Balrampur adjacent to the Nepal border. In the next 2 to 3 years, it will be expanded to the entire Uttar Pradesh and about 20 lakh families of 57 thousand gram panchayats will be directly connected to the digital economy.

Migration towards big cities will now stop

With the availability of high-speed internet and free Wi-Fi in the villages, the youth will get the facilities of freelancing, remote work, online vocational training and digital library at home. Now youth will not need to go to metropolitan cities like Delhi or Noida to learn coding or start a tech startup, which will stop migration from villages. For this, the government will provide internet at very affordable rates.

Strong cyber security and support of the legendary Hinduja Group

Under Project Ganga, not only internet but also CCTV solutions and strong cyber security services will be provided for the security of villages. To bring this huge digital revolution to the ground, the government has made ‘OneOTT Entertainment Limited’, the broadband unit of the leading Hinduja Group, as its knowledge partner and implementation enabler.
