Speaking as the chief guest at the 41st convocation of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur, the Governor clearly said that young women should learn the qualities of becoming an ‘Expert Mom’ before they aspire to join the Administrative Services (IAS) or bigger posts like teachers. He stressed that business success should never come at the expense of family responsibilities and values. Along with becoming self-reliant and educated, daughters should also learn values ​​from their mothers so that they can manage their new family smoothly after marriage.

He said that it should never happen that after marriage, when the mother-in-law asks to make halwa at home, the daughter-in-law immediately takes out her mobile phone and starts watching the recipe on YouTube and prepares the half-cooked food. She taught her daughters that everyone should know the basic art of housework and cooking. While advocating the Indian family system, the Governor said that the more the daughters-in-law serve their mother-in-law, the more happiness and peace there will be in the house. With this, the obstacles in getting a job and minor family problems will automatically disappear.

All universities should prepare ‘Garbhasanskaar’ syllabus: Deep concern expressed over increasing disability in the country

From the stage of the convocation, the Governor issued a major administrative directive regarding the health of the society and character building of the coming generation. He gave strict instructions to all the universities of Uttar Pradesh including CSJMU to include a special syllabus related to ‘Garbh Sanskar’ in their curriculum. He said that efforts should be made to include every pregnant woman in this course. Expressing deep concern over the increase in the rate of disability in the country from 3 percent to 4 percent, the Governor said that every pregnant woman from cities to villages should get ultrasound done on time and consult doctors. Many times, the baby’s organs do not develop properly in the womb, in such a situation it is mandatory to strictly follow medical advice.

Encouraging the girl students, Anandiben Patel laid special emphasis on the fact that girls should not leave their education and career midway after getting married. He said that even after marriage, continue your studies and use your acquired knowledge and skills for nation building. In this grand convocation, degrees were awarded to a total of 1,07,713 students, in which the most glorious thing was that about 82 percent of the total medals were won by girls. The Governor praised the girl students for this historic achievement and called them the real guides of the society.

Making parents aware of their responsibilities, the Governor cautioned that the duty of parents is not fulfilled merely by getting their children admitted in school or college. He said, “Parents should know every moment what their children are doing after going to educational institutions. Even a small mistake in your monitoring can put their entire future in darkness.” Referring to the increasing crimes against women and domestic violence in the society, he also referred to a very tragic incident where a daughter died after being gang-raped. He said that if degrees are increasing in the country but moral values ​​are falling and heinous crimes against women continue, then it shows the real and worrying condition of our education system. Education should not be limited to just bookish knowledge but should be made a medium of character building.
