Not only Ola-Uber but also Swiggy-Zomato lagged behind! This app of India becomes number-1, 65 lakh people are using it every day

A huge upheaval has been witnessed in India’s digital market at this time. Rapido, a company once known only as a bike taxi, has now become the country’s largest consumer internet app. According to a recent report by digital intelligence firm ‘Sensor Tower’, Rapido’s monthly active users (MAU) has reached 82 million between March and May 2026, which is 67% more than last year.

Beat the big companies

With this impressive growth, Rapido has not only defeated the ride-hailing giants Uber and Ola, but has also left the big companies of quick commerce and food delivery like Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit and Zepto far behind in terms of user base.

Monthly Active Users (MAU) figures

  • Rapid: 8.2 crores

  • Blinkit: 7.9 crores

  • Swiggy: 6.7 crores

  • Zomato: 6.3 crores

  • Zepto: 5.8 crores

  • Uber: 3.9 crores

  • Ola: 2.7 crores

Also at the forefront among users doing transactions

Rapido is on top not only in terms of app opens or views but also in the list of active transaction customers (MTU). During the January to March 2026 quarter, Rapido’s monthly transacting users were approximately 3.6 crore. In comparison, Blinkit has 2.7 crore users, both Zomato and Swiggy have 2.5-2.5 crore users. Whereas Ola and Uber have not made their transaction numbers public.

Record of 65 lakh rides every day

Its strong hold in the market can be gauged from the fact that in March 2026, Rapido completed an average of 65 lakh rides every day. In this matter also, it is far ahead of other companies, where only 37 lakh rides are being booked daily on Uber and about 15 lakh rides are being booked on Ola.

Drivers are liking the business model

Rapido has a special strategy behind its rapid success. Traditional companies like Ola and Uber charge a hefty commission of 20% to 30% from their drivers on every ride. In contrast, Rapido has introduced a new subscription model. In this, drivers only have to pay a fixed monthly or daily fee, after which they can keep all their earnings for themselves. Due to this transparent policy, drivers across the country are increasingly joining this app.

Not just bikes, now every service available

Rapido, which started as a small bike taxi startup in 2015, is now on its way to becoming a ‘super app’. Over time, the company has entered many sectors like auto, cab service, e-rickshaw, parcel delivery, food delivery, financial services and car-pooling. Because of this multi-service approach, today it has become a necessity for every section of the country.
