It is not everyone’s cup of tea to give up job security, luxurious corporate life and a hefty salary every month to chase their unique dreams. Especially when the job is in Google, one of the world’s largest tech companies. But 23-year-old Indian-origin Aashna Doshi chose a path that most people would consider extremely risky and unwise. The biggest worry for him was not leaving a giant company like Google, but that if he did not give a chance to his revolutionary ideas, he would probably regret it throughout his life.
This story of Aashna is a great inspiration for millions of youth today who are stuck in the dilemma of deciding between a secure career and their startup dreams.
Got call from Google even before graduation
When Aashna Doshi was completing her studies from ‘Georgia Tech’ University, in February 2024, Google offered her the job of a full-time software engineer. Initially this posting was in California, but Aashna wanted to start her career by living in New York.
At a time when it was very difficult for new graduates to get a job due to the recession, Aashna rejected the offer from California. His ability can be gauged from the fact that after a few months, Google offered him the role of his choice in its New York office.
Everyone was good at coding, but my heart was beating for podcasting.
While working at Google New York, Aashna gained incredible technical experience and worked with some of the brightest minds in the world. But gradually he started realizing that his real passion was not limited to just coding on the computer screen. He became more attracted to hearing real stories of people, discussing new innovative ideas and creating an identity for himself.
In the beginning of the year 2025, he along with another tech engineer “0 to 1” Started a business podcast named. In this show she used to share the success and struggle stories of big entrepreneurs, engineers and business leaders. Gradually this podcast became so popular that within a year it got more than 1 lakh views on YouTube and through this he met top executives of big companies like Amazon and Microsoft.
Big opportunity seen in the world of AI (Artificial Intelligence)
With the success of the podcast, the idea of starting her own venture became stronger in Aashna’s mind. He believed that the current era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought the biggest opportunity of the century for new entrepreneurs. He felt that if something big has to be done, then this is the right time to take a risk and establish something new in the world of technology.
Said goodbye to Google, started AI based marketplace “Bounty”
In May 2026, Aashna finally said goodbye to her luxurious job at Google forever and along with her podcast partner “Bounty” Started a tech AI startup named.
What is Bounty Startup?
‘Bounty’ is basically a state-of-the-art AI based marketplace where companies across the world can post their important jobs like recruitment, business outreach and lead generation. The most unique model of this startup is that companies have to pay only when they get results.
Earnings decreased, but confidence increased: ‘Stopping was the biggest fear’
Aashna openly admits that after leaving the corporate life, economic uncertainty has increased a lot. Currently, his startup is not earning any money as it is in the initial stage and there is no direct revenue from the podcast yet. Despite this, he does not regret his big decision even a bit.
She says that leaving Google was not scary for her, but it was more scary to live in a comfortable life there and always think about what else she could have done in her life. It is better to get out on the ground and take risks rather than living in a secure job and always wondering “what if…”.
