Monsoon was stuck at one place for two weeks, western disturbance and moist winds suddenly changed the game.

According to meteorologists, the pace of monsoon had completely stopped for the last two weeks and it was stuck at one place. Due to this, the period of dry winds and severe heat wave continued in the plains of North and Central India. However, now a very strong weather system has developed in the atmosphere due to extremely moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal and the activation of a new powerful Western Disturbance over North India. This is the reason why suddenly dense clouds have started covering a large part of North, Central and Eastern India and the weather has taken a U-turn.

There is every possibility of this bad weather having a direct impact on air traffic. After the warning issued by the Meteorological Department, the Civil Aviation Department has also become alert. Due to strong winds and low visibility, flight movement at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) and Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport may be affected. The routes of many flights are being diverted or their flights may be delayed. Passengers traveling by air have been advised to check the live status of their flights from their respective airlines before leaving home.

Due to slowness of monsoon, farmers are worried, sowing of Kharif crops stuck

On one hand, this rain will provide great relief to the common people from the scorching heat, on the other hand, the concerns of the farmers (food givers) of the country have also increased. Even after half of the month of June has passed, due to weakening of monsoon and lack of timely rains, its most serious impact is being seen on the agricultural sector. Due to lack of adequate water in the fields, sowing and initial growth of paddy nursery, sugarcane, green vegetables and other major Kharif crops is being badly affected. Farmers are hopeful that after this weather system, the monsoon will once again gain momentum and drench the entire country.
