The government has taken a very revolutionary step to directly link higher education in the state with employment and corporate sector. Now students studying in universities of Bihar will be able to acquire on-job specialization in their main subject along with traditional graduation studies.

Under this new system, students will not only get bookish knowledge but will also get a chance to do practical training i.e. apprenticeship by going to companies and factories. Lok Bhavan (Raj Bhavan) has given green signal to ‘Undergraduate Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme’ (AEDP) for this. This entire system is going to be implemented effectively from this new session 2026. In the initial phase, it is being started in four selected universities of the state and in the coming time it will be expanded to other universities also.
