Bhajan Lal government has created a great opportunity for law graduates and youth preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the official notification for ‘Assistant Prosecution Officer’ (APO) Recruitment 2026 in the Home Department.
Through this recruitment drive, qualified candidates will be appointed to a total of 371 vacant posts. Interested and eligible candidates can visit the official portal of RPSC and apply online on the prescribed dates.
Where and how to apply?
Eligible candidates will have to log in by visiting the official website of RPSC rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in or SSO portal of Rajasthan Government sso.rajasthan.gov.in. Candidates who are filling the form for any recruitment of RPSC for the first time must complete their ‘One Time Registration’ (OTR) process before applying.

Who can apply? Know eligibility and age limit
1. Educational Qualification (Eligibility Criteria)

LLB Degree: Candidate must have Graduation in Law from any recognized University in India i.e. LLB professional degree Must be (3-year or 5-year integrated course).

local knowledge: It is mandatory for the candidate to have practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture, traditions and local dialects.

nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
2. Age Limit
age calculation 1 January 2027 Will be considered as basis:

Age Relaxation: Male and female candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, MBC) native of Rajasthan will be given special relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules of the Personnel Department of the State Government. All applicants from other states will be counted in the General category only.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
Final Selection Total on RPSC APO Posts three stages This will be done through the process of:

Preliminary Exam: This will be only a qualifying (screening) objective examination, the purpose of which is to shortlist the candidates for the Main Examination. In this, multiple choice questions related to Law (70% weightage) and Hindi and English grammar (30% weightage) will be asked. Its marks will not be added to the final merit.

Main Exam: This will be a completely descriptive/written examination. There will be two papers:

Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of cut-off and merit of Main Examination will be invited for verification of their original documents.
Salary Scale: The finally selected candidates will be given pay matrix of Rajasthan Government. Level L-11 Under this, a very attractive pay scale will be given. Apart from this, after the probation period, pension (NPS), dearness allowance, house rent allowance and medical facilities will also be available as per rules.

There will be a complete ban on these things: It is strictly prohibited to carry mobile phones, calculators, Bluetooth devices, pagers, smart watches, any electronic gadgets, books, guides, notebooks or plain rough papers into the examination hall. Violation of rules may result in legal action and debarment.
