Today is a very important day for the candidates applying for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 session to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The ‘Correction Window’ opened for making corrections in the application form of UGC NET June exam is going to be closed forever today i.e. on 28th May 2026 at 11:50 pm.
Candidates who have already submitted their form but have committed any error or mistake while filling the form can make online corrections in their details by directly visiting the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in without any delay. NTA has made it clear that after the expiry of this fixed deadline, no candidate will be given a second chance or additional time to make changes in the form.
What changes can students make in the form?
As per the official guidelines issued by NTA, due to security reasons, students are allowed to make online corrections in only a few selected details:

Personal Details: Candidates can make corrections in their Date of Birth, Gender, Category, and Disability (PwD) status.

Name Correction: The applicant may choose his/her own name, father’s name or mother’s name. just one name Can only be modified. Changing all three names together is not allowed.

Academic and Center Details: Candidates can also change their main NET Subject and Exam City Preferences.
