Major Power Struggle in Karnataka Congress: Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar Summoned to Delhi Big power game in Karnataka Congress, Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar summoned in Delhi court

The political drama of Karnataka has once again reached the corridors of the country’s capital Delhi. To resolve the ongoing tussle within the state government and the organization once and for all, the Congress high command has summoned both Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to Delhi. Marathon meetings of both the stalwarts are going on with the top leadership of the party at the Congress headquarters in Delhi. Meanwhile, a very shocking news is coming out quoting sources that the Congress high command is in the mood for “power transition” in Karnataka, but the biggest twist in this entire change is that Deputy CM DK Shivakumar is not going to be promoted (to the post of Chief Minister).

What is Karnataka’s proposed ‘Bihar Formula’?

According to sources, the Congress leadership in Karnataka is trying to prepare exactly the same political formula which was seen in the politics of Bihar a few weeks ago. The following changes can be made under this formula:

  • Preparation to send Siddaramaiah to Delhi: On the lines of former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Siddaramaiah can also be removed from the post of Chief Minister and sent to the Upper House of Parliament (Rajya Sabha).

  • No-promotion to DK Shivakumar: Just like in Bihar, after the departure of Nitish Kumar, his deputy Samrat Chaudhary was given the command of the Chief Minister, the same formula will not be applicable in Karnataka. This means that even after Siddaramaiah’s removal, it is not certain that DK Shivakumar will get the post of Chief Minister.

  • Place for son Yatindra in cabinet: Just as after the resignation of Nitish Kumar in Bihar, his son Nishant Kumar was made the Health Minister in the new government, similarly, an important ministerial post in the Karnataka cabinet can be secured for his son Yatindra to convince Siddaramaiah.

If complications arise, Mallikarjun Kharge can become Chief Minister!

Party insiders say that even if the Congress high command convinces Siddaramaiah to go to Rajya Sabha, Siddaramaiah will not easily accept DK Shivakumar as his successor. In such a situation of deadlock, the Congress high command can play a big gamble by finding a middle path.

Current national president of the party Mallikarjun Kharge Can be put forward as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka. If Kharge becomes the Chief Minister of Karnataka, then for Rahul Gandhi his very close leader KC Venugopal The way will be cleared to make N.K. the next national president of Congress. This will also provide an opportunity to make necessary changes in the central organization of the party, although according to strategists, this option is the least likely.

Three big names of the high command are in favor of change

Earlier it was believed that the Delhi leadership was not in favor of any kind of leadership change in Karnataka. But amidst the changing developments, it has now become clear that the three most powerful faces of the Congress – Mallikarjun Kharge himself, Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal and Karnataka state in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, all three have come in favor of “transfer of power” in the state.

DKS’s mysterious smile on the question; eye on 2028

On reaching Delhi, when media persons surrounded DK Shivakumar and asked a direct question, “Is he going to take over as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka?” So he did not say anything verbally, but his mysterious smile while sitting in the car told a lot.

On the other hand, Siddaramaiah’s supporters want that if change has to happen, then Shivakumar should take up the responsibility now so that his claims on the post of Chief Minister for the future are put to rest forever. However, the Congress high command is taking vigorous steps in view of the next Karnataka Assembly elections to be held in the year 2028 so that the mistakes like Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan are not repeated here.
