Today in Lucknow, Keshav Prasad Maurya assured that the double engine government of Uttar Pradesh is completely dedicated to protecting the rights of women and bringing them into the mainstream of the society.
Shri Maurya said that the Prime Minister is working towards taking the participation of women in local bodies and Panchayats to 50%, but when it came to implementing it in the Lok Sabha and Assembly, these four parties together committed the crime of defeating the bill.
He warned, “This is the first time after independence that such a big conspiracy has been hatched to deprive women of their rights. SP, Congress, TMC and DMK will be punished for this in the upcoming elections. Half of the population will teach them a tough lesson.”
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister’s dream is that every daughter and woman of India should become self-reliant. He stressed, “Only when the women of the country are empowered, the nation will become truly powerful. Our government does not just change the names of the schemes, but is also bringing positive changes in the lives of women on the ground.”
