The long wait of lakhs of students who appeared in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) conducted for admission to Undergraduate (UG) courses in various prestigious universities including Central Universities across the country is now over. National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key of CUET UG online on its official website. The biggest shocking news for the candidates and experts appearing in the exam is that this time NTA has completely dropped 7 questions from different subjects from the final answer key. With the arrival of the final answer, the countdown for the release of the result has started.

Why did NTA remove 7 questions and what will be the impact on students’ marks?

According to officials associated with the evaluation department of CUET UG examination, after the release of the provisional answer key, a thorough review of the objections lodged by students and subject experts from across the country was done. Only after this, it has been decided to remove 7 disputed or wrong questions in the final answer key. According to the rules, full marks of the 7 questions which have been removed will be given to all the students who appeared for that particular subject. Coaching experts from major educational centers like Delhi, Prayagraj, Patna, Jaipur and Varanasi believe that due to these removed questions, there may be a major change in the cut-off and scoring pattern of many subjects.

Result countdown begins, results may be declared this week

After the final answer key is out, the National Testing Agency has now reached the final stage of preparing the result. According to indications from the Education Ministry and NTA Headquarters in New Delhi, the final scorecard of the students can be made live on the official portal any day this week. This year, more than 13 lakh students had appeared in the CUET UG examination, who are now very curious about their result and the normalization process. As soon as the results are declared, big universities like Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Allahabad University (AU) will start the counseling and admission process.

Candidates are advised to rely only on the official website exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG for any updates related to their result and scorecard.
