News India Live, Digital Desk: Lucknow University (LU) has started the process of admission to postgraduate (PG) and professional courses for the academic session 2026-27 from Monday. This time the university administration has increased the application fee significantly, but has also increased the number of seats in modern courses like Data Science and AI.

Application Start Date: 27 April 2026

Last date of application: 15 June 2026

Entrance Exam (Expected): July 2026

LURN registration is mandatory: Before applying, every student must register for ‘LURN’ (Lucknow University Registration Number). its fees 100 rupees Is. Only after successful registration you will be able to fill the main application form through Samarth portal.

Application Fees: This time the fees for general and professional courses have been increased from 25% to 50%:

General PG Courses (MA, MCom, MSc, LLB, LLM): * General/OBC: ₹1,500

SC/ST/PWD: ₹750

Professional Courses (MBA, MEd, BPEd, MPEd):

General/OBC: ₹2,000

SC/ST/PWD: ₹1,000

New Seats and Modern Courses: Keeping in view the demands of the changing times, the University has invited applications for 50-50 seats in the following modern subjects:

AI & Machine Learning (AI & ML)

Data Science and Data Analytics

cyber security

Apart from this, students can also take admission in professional subjects like Hospital Administration (74 seats), Public Health (62 seats) and Nutritional Sciences (75 seats).
